Ute Mountain Casino Hotel

Exempt – Salaried Open Positions

Chief Financial Officer or Director - Finance & Accounting

Reporting to the General Manager; the CFO is responsible for protecting and growing the assets and overall financial activities of UMCH. Assists the management on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to finance, accounting, planning and budgeting, forecast management, internal controls, financial analysis, and asset acquisition and funding. Provides overall leadership to F&A functional areas functional areas of Controllership, Payroll, Auditing, Cage and Soft Count, Purchasing, AP and AR.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management; CPA and/or MBA preferred. Minimum 15 years accounting experience with at least 7 years in accounting management – Controller, DOF or CFO experience required. Five years’ experience in gaming and hospitality environment required. Preferred experience in Tribal Gaming.

Senior Controller – Gaming Operations

Reporting to the CFO/DOF; responsible for the overall financial integrity of UMCH. Will primarily oversees the operational accounting functions for casino gaming operations and ensure that accurate financial information is provided to senior management for decision-making purposes.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Management. MBA a plus. Minimum 10 years of controllership accountability. Strong knowledge of casino operations, gaming and non- gaming operations. Tribal Gaming experience preferred.

Senior Financial Analyst

Reporting directly to the CFO/DOF; will develop, interpret and implement financial and analytical concepts/techniques for financial planning and control and for leading various analytical projects related to the company’s finances and resource allocation. Will primarily be responsibility to drive the budget and forecast process for the organization; will assist UMCH management in interpreting and evaluation financial information and projections to facilitate decision-making; and will be responsible and may also provide support to the Gaming and Non-Gaming operations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management; MBA a plus. Minimum 5 years of related casino experience required. Tribal Gaming experience preferred.

Assistant Director Human Resources

Reporting to the Director–HR; will assist in providing guidance and leadership to property management on matters of employee relations, and HR policies and practices. Will maintain a “generalist” role, but will largely focus on and assisting in the development and implementation team member and management training & development programs; coordinating investigations and addressing interpersonal and work related employee issues; promoting team member well-being and a positive work and cultural environment initiatives; and work with the DHR and staff management on policy creation and interpretation, productivity and attendance, and other workplace projects impacting both the management and team member UMCH experience.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or associated field. Master degree preferred. HR Generalist experience (must be versed in various key HR functional areas) with 3 years HR supervisory or unit management responsibilities. Casino and Tribal Gaming experience required.

Safety & Risk Management Coordinator

Reporting to the Director-HR: Responsible for the administration of the risk, safety and the workers compensation programs for the UMCH. Coordinates the development, implementation, oversight and administration of a property-wide risk control/safety program that will reduce loss through accident prevention/ reduction methods, accident investigation and inspection. Coordinates team member and work-place safety policies; workers’ compensation program and reporting; team member / management safety training; and work- place safety inspections.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in related programs with emphasis in risk management, safety, business administration, or a related field/ Three (3) years of increasingly responsible risk management or safety experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills in order to develop action plans to address trends. Must possess a working knowledge of insurance accounting and workers compensation claims.

Chef Tournant

The Chef Tournant is a direct link between the Executive Chef and Room Chef and is assigned production areas and outlets. The primary responsibilities are to ensure all communication, standards, policies, and expectations are communicated to team members and then executed flawlessly. This leader will be expected to rotate into different areas in regards business demands and career development. This individual will perform management tasks, such as training cooks, setting the production flow, managing inventory, and ensuring that kitchens meet safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications: Three (3) plus years as a room chef, chef d” cuisine or sous chef. Culinary school training or apprenticeship preferred. Experienced in working in a fast-pace, high volume environment. Serv-Safe Certified. Able to read, write and understand English and perform basic mathematics. Ability to follow menu design and recipes. Ability to work/communicate in kitchen environment with other personnel. Tribal property experience preferred.
